John Bishop Museum House, Wood Roof Replacement

Below are before, during and after photos of the circa 1820 John Bishop Museum House wood roofing replacement. This project was completed during July, 2011 for the Lisbon, Connecticut Historical Society and the Town of Lisbon. We recommend using 5/8" butt X 18" tapersawn Alaskan Yellow Cedar Shingles @ 6" to 7" exposure. Shingles will mellow to a silver grey and their tight grain seems to surpass red cedar for longevity.
